What Descript is
Descript edits video and audio by editing the transcript: delete a sentence in the text and it disappears from the recording, with an AI co-editor that will assemble a first cut without anyone touching a timeline. Filler-word and background-noise removal are built in. There is a genuine free plan, and the ladder is priced for individual creators rather than post-production teams.
