AI Tools for Advertising & Creative

5 categories, 33 tools published.

Advertising tools split into three jobs that get confused with each other: making the creative, deciding where the money goes, and finding out what competitors are running.

The making has become cheap. Creative generation and AI video sit at a median of $39 a month, and eight of the twenty-one tools in this section have a free tier that produces usable output — usually watermarked or capped, but real. What has not become cheap is the deciding: campaign optimisation and creative analytics start around $750 and price against ad spend rather than seats, on the reasoning that a tool managing $50,000 of media is worth more than one managing five thousand.

Competitor ad research is the odd category. The libraries are large and the prices are modest, but coverage is the real variable: an entry plan often sees Meta only, and the networks you actually buy on arrive several hundred dollars later.

How to choose in this section

Check which networks the entry tier covers. BigSpy's $69 plan sees Facebook and Instagram; TikTok and Google Ads arrive at $159, and the full ten networks at $499. The cheap tier of an ad-spy tool is rarely the tool you were shown.

For creative volume, look at the free tier first. HeyGen, Synthesia, Creatify and Canva all let you produce something before paying. If the output is not good enough free, it will not be good enough at $39.

Optimisation tools are priced on your spend, not your team. Motion starts at $750 for up to $50,000 of monthly ad spend. Below that threshold the fee is a large share of the budget it is meant to improve.
