20 August 2026 — directory opens

First batch of tools published across all seven sections. The directory launches with verified pricing on a subset and draft pricing withheld on the rest.

Why pricing is missing on some profiles. Every price here is read from the vendor’s own pricing page and stamped with the date. Where we have not done that reading yet, the profile says so instead of showing a number. Publishing a figure we have not checked would defeat the point of the directory. Verification continues in batches.

Corrections made before launch. Three tools had draft pricing that did not survive checking — Scalenut, Koala AI and NeuronWriter were all wrong on either the amount, the number of plans, or the unit being measured. Two of them turned out to have a free tier we had missed. This is exactly the failure mode the check date exists to prevent.

Policies published. Methodology, how we make money, terms, refund policy and privacy are all live from day one rather than added later.
